About THE Author
LaurNedria Washington
Laurnedria Washington transformed her narrative of pain, loss, and survival into a mission of hope and empowerment. A survivor of domestic violence, depression, and an eating disorder that nearly killed her, she now dedicates her life to helping others escape their own darkness.
As a domestic violence activist, Laurnedria counsels women in shelters, offering refuge, strength, and hope for starting fresh. Her work as a certified health coach combines her passion for wellness with her personal testimony, teaching others how to heal body and soul from the inside out.
Laurnedria’s journey from losing her father at ten to surviving anorexia at eighteen to escaping abuse as a young mother has given her unique perspective on resilience and recovery. She understands the silence survivors carry, the courage it takes to leave, and the daily work of rebuilding a life.
She shares her story to remind others that no matter how painful the situation or how bleak the circumstances appear, freedom and peace remain possible. Her life serves as proof that brokenness can create beauty and that peace comes not from absence of pain but from purpose rising above it.
About The Book
Every Situation is escapable
‘Every Situation is Escapable: My Journey to Freedom and Peace’ is a powerful memoir about surviving loss, mental illness, and domestic abuse. Laurnedria Washington shares her story with raw honesty, from losing her beloved father at age ten to battling anorexia that nearly killed her at eighteen, to escaping a violent relationship for the sake of her daughter.
This book is both personal testimony and guide for others suffering in silence. Laurnedria describes how grief turned into depression, how seeking control led to an eating disorder, and how love turned into abuse. She shares the courage it took to leave, the challenges of rebuilding as a single mother, and the long path to healing and self acceptance.
Written with heartfelt honesty, this memoir shows that healing is possible for anyone, no matter how broken you feel. Laurnedria’s message is clear: you are stronger than your situation, you are not alone, and every situation truly is escapable. Her story offers hope to survivors of trauma, abuse, mental illness, and loss, proving that freedom and peace are within reach.
